We are delighted to be able to share that Trinity Arts Centre has been confirmed as a FINALIST at the APSE Annual Service Awards 2025 for ‘Best Service Team: Sports, Leisure & Cultural Service’.
Held annually, this year taking place in September in Scotland, the prestigious APSE (Association for Public Service Excellence) Annual Service Awards champion excellence in public services and Gainsborough’s Trinity Arts Centre has been recognised for achievements in overall customer service and the levels of customer satisfaction, the growth in community engagement, as well as the development and use of technology and investment in staff development.
A unique picture-house and theatre housed in a grade II listed Church, Trinity Arts Centre celebrated it’s 40th Anniversary in 2024. In the decades since ‘Project 77’, a group of passionate volunteers, saved the decommissioned church from ruin and converted it into a community and cultural hub, the core mission of delivering a thriving fulcrum for local artistic and community prosperity remains at the heart of the venue’s values. With recent innovations in areas from programming to delivery, Trinity has been able to continue to strive towards these goals with greater success.
“We consider it a privilege that Trinity Arts Centre has been recognised as a 2025 finalist after a robust evaluation,” says Centre Manager Craig Sanders. “We’re also thrilled to be able to share this kind of news with our valued customers, who are the very reason that we continue to strive to make Trinity Arts Centre the best local entertainment and community venue it can be, with the best possible experiences for our customers, no matter the occasion.”
APSE is a not-for-profit local government body, which works with over 300 councils across the UK, and is the foremost specialist in local authority front line services across a range of areas. Having received recognition from APSE in the past, West Lindsey District Council was previously nominated in the same category (‘Best Service Team: Sports, Leisure & Cultural Service’) in 2020, the same year in which it won for the category ‘Best Service Team: Cemetery and Crematory Service’.
The 2025 Awards Ceremony is set to take place in Glasgow, in September, which will be a busy month for Trinity as a full schedule of live and screened events return following the summer maintenance period.
